Flint, located in Scotland, is now up for sale. This boat has done very well racing over there with a good number of First Place finishes. Comes with Trailer.

Flint is famous on this side for this great shot on the River Tay with Broughty Ferry Castle in the background...

I sent Dirk a PM and email when I found out about this opportunity and hadnt heard a thing back. Wondering if he'll ever recover from the horror from what should now be known as The Blacksheep-Dirk Debacle. _________________ Kelly Holsten abstrait

YES!! here I am...still going strong :-))
But If you look at the prices they ask in Europe you know the reason why I tried to purchase in the States... :-)
15.500L is about 26.000$... _________________ Alveola

Actually, it's more like 27,000usd! 22k euros... The price difference for the European First 235 is astounding. You could have flown over, sailed the beast, bought a trailer, had a vacation, arranged shipping, and STILL be way under that price! Amazing. _________________ Kelly Holsten abstrait

|

Hi,
Just noticed the posting of my first 235 Flint in the forum.
We have had a really good year in 2005, as winner of the inshore racing circuit and Forth yacht championship as well as several of the main regattas. Flint is now up for sale at quite a high price because I really don’t want the sell the boat, however my son wants a higher performance racing machine so my arm has been reluctantly twisted.
Flint has been completely refurbished over the last few years with a suit of high performance racing sails, GPS plotter, self steering gear, DSC vhf, EPIRB, standing rigging and running rigging, new winches etc, etc. about $10,000 has been invested in Flint over the last few years, so the price asked is still reasonable _________________ Howard & Sam Dryden

All over the forum in the regatta section. No definite time of summer yet but check out the discussion. _________________ Kelly Holsten abstrait

Welcome to the forum, Sarah!
