Hurry Up is a well kept member of the First 235 family, ready to cruise the bay. In 2014 the boat underwent an overhaul including a bottom and keel fairing. The keel had all visible rust removed, was acid washed and coated in 4 coats of interlux InterProtect 2000. It was then faired with filled epoxy and coated with biaxial fiberglass, which was also filled, faired and coated with interlux InterProtect 2000. The bottom had all blisters filled and faired smooth, then received several coats of interlux InterProtect 2000. The rudder was also faired and sealed with interlux InterProtect 2000. The entire bottom and rudder were coated with Pettit Hydrocoat. Running rigging was replaced and safety netting was installed along with new dyneema lifelines.

The boat has the original mainsail and 90 % jib, as well as an 135% jib and a spinnaker. All sheets (main, jib and spinnaker) were replaced in 2014. The motor has been moved to the port side installed on a motor lift. The head was replaced, along with the battery, and compass. The boat includes a functional tiller pilot, and new LED interior lighting. The boat has many other upgrades as well.

She is a lively boat to sail that will handle well in a blow if properly trimmed. The shallow 4 ft draft, along with the anchor (25 ft of chain and 125 ft of rhode) will enable even the the most novice sailor to enjoy gunk holing on the Chesapeake Bay.
