After eight years of funny sailing "Free Spirit" I think about to grow and sell the boat.
Its a little bit to small for sailing with my family. My wife (and me too ;-) )would like to have more head clearance and more space in the salon...
After testing some different boats we have come to the decision maybe to buy a First 285.
My 235 is in a good condition. It is the fixed keel version with 1.15m draft. Sailed only in summer on the IJsselmeer/Netherlands. In the winter it was situated allways in a closed hall on its trailer.
The ship is one of the latest ones built in Europe. Hull #375.
It comes with a large equipment.
Main Sail in laminate -very good shape and condition
Jib in laminate -like new
Genoa -dacron in good condition
Storm jib -like new
Spinnaker -in good condition
Free Spirit is fully equipped with sounder, speed, VHF, CD radio, battery and charger, shore power and so on.
Additional to that it has a sprayhood and dodger in very good condition.

Yeah, This is the most extensive dodger weather protection arrangement I've seen in ANY First 235.
Thomas, hope you stick around and let us know. your next boat.

Hull # EU375 is actually the boat featured here in the past with the extensive, custom dodger.

Hello togehter,

the boat is sold.

Now I am waiting for the next spring to test my new boat. After the good experiences with the 235 I have bought a First 285. Hopefully it will sail as good as the old one...
