I went and looked at it today. It needs some work, but the asking price is fair, he'd let it go for $5,500. Someone has removed the headliner and left the fiberglass exposed. There is a large patch in the cabin sole, I'm not sure from what. The engine water pump is leaking. The port handrail on deck is missing and the starboard side is loose. The sails appear in decent shape, all that I saw was a main and jib. The boat is on a trailer that could be used for transport but doesn't sell with the boat. The cushions looked ok. I think the deck would be fine with a good cleaning. The port cabin top winch was broken. It does have fresh bottom paint. _________________ Brandon Snider

Nice! First 26!
Did you score it? Is that inboard? _________________ Clay Babcock

It needs a little more work than I want to put into it. I'm not really in the market right now anyway. It does have and inboard. The original posting said excellent condition, while that's usually never the case with a sailboat, and I'm always skeptical, I had to go see for myself. _________________ Brandon Snider

Brandon,
Did you by chance snap any more photos while you were at the boat?
If it was close, I'd go take a look too, why not!

The weather was bad when I drove up there. It had just stopped pouring so unfortunately I didn't get any pictures. I'm always keeping one eye open for another 235 and just happened to stumble upon it. Like you said, a first 26 for that price, you have to go see it. Last time something like that happened I ended up with Pi, which was the nicest boat I've owned. _________________ Brandon Snider
