I talked to the broker today. Price lowered to $8,500. Owner ready to move boat. Hasn't been sailed in a while. Needs some updating more than likely but supposed to have a nice motor.

Very good price! Is it a fin keel version?
You could ask the broker if there is a reputable trailer manufacturer nearby who could provide a trailer for your return trip.
With a trailer at $3-3.5K, the boat, tax, etc, you'll definitely have a very nice package for under ~$13K.
The bimini got my attention:
have a look at the postion of the gooseneck - it looks to me as if the boom has been moved up the mast to make room for a bimini. (The black band on the mast should be above the boom, not under it.) If so, the mainsail area will be much reduced on this one compared to a standard F235 (we've seen this modification before on this forum). _________________ Neil Quigley

Thanks, its a fin. Theres a trailer company in Atlanta that will make a trailer for $2400. I think it was 24......maybe 26. I have it written down. There website is something like sail-trailers.com if anyone is interested. _________________ Brandon Snider

I agree that that mod is the best way to make room for a decent bimini, but Brandon was preferring the fin keel because he wants optimal performance ... _________________ Neil Quigley

Sounds surprisingly 'affordable' - maybe it's the economy ..
Single-axle? bunks instead of separate supports? extension tongue? heavy-duty tires? (essential if you only have one axle) galvanized or just painted? _________________ Neil Quigley

Scroll down about half way. Not as nice as I've seen but its double axle and would probably work just fine if cared for.

Man that is a good looking 235 on that trailer. Hey wait a minute. That's mine. Yes, actually this is my boat and trailer. I discovered this out after I purchased it in Dec. 07. Trailer works great. _________________ Enchantress Hull #170 |
