1988 Beneteau First 235.
Comes with 4 year old sail set, including new spinnaker and chute. Johnson 15hp long shaft outboard. Recently winterized
New Raytheon ST 40 knot/depth sounder.
Numerous extras, poles, life jackets, etc.
Bottom painted last year.
Currently on the hard at the NAS Pax. River dry storage area.
Boat stands included.
She needs "head liner" work, some cosmetic work, but other wise a good boat.

Looks like you guys made out great considering the price!!
I hope the trailer worked fine for you. Did you attemp to haul home now or is it still in Anapolis?

She was buried too deep to get out so we go down again late April. This will give us time to service the surge brakes and make a few other mods (the tongue extension has to go, it put a hole in my bumper when I reversed at too tight an angle. Border was not a problem though and licensing should be easy so expect your plate back within a month. We also plan to use your idea for mast stepping so we've got to build a crane in the next few weeks. The hills back to Canada were not so bad so we've decided to try it with our Honda Odyssey rather than our neighbours full size van (for insurance and gas reasons). I'm installing a transmission cooler to keep the heat at bay.

Thanks for the offer but the boat is actually over an hour away in California MD on a Navy Base (I guess its as safe a place to keep it as it gets eh).

Yeah us crazy canucks are starting to hord the 235s, pretty soon our southern friends will start complaining about it. I'm up for a class get together, I figure we should do one in lake Ontario, I guess there are regattas and such on the US side organized through this site.

Is the First 235 LOCCR now defunct? I guess I see no info about a 2008 one having happened nor any info on upcoming 09 stuff. If so, time to crank things up and get something going again, perhaps some place nice like Honey Harbour (the near north channel).

Hate that about your bumber Ed, I should have moved the extention back further! Sorry man, I hope it wasnt to big a hole! The extension is really handy if your ramp is shallow. You gotta have something to get that big fin deep enough, unless you lift her in.
Good luck with the haul home.
I will sketch up something on my hoist. I used it twice this week and it really does make stepping a breeze. I used it on the hunter Saturday with no trouble.
I can't wait for pics of your work as it progresses!

No worries, I should have been more careful. I think I can work without a tongue extension, I plan on adding a second pop down wheel thing at the front and using a chain or rope to ease the trailer down into the water. Yes, I will have less control but it will be easier (and lighter) to carry around (damn that extender bar is heavy to move around by yourself). The navy base marina guy said an extension pole will not be long enough because the ramp was designed for sea planes and is too gradual.

I take it you've not been to the actual Regattas and Rendezvous forum here then. I'ts less than two mouse clicks away. Live dangerously! Crazy ole Ed. heh....
ps - the tongue extension is a VERY VERY good thing to have. Dont get rid of it as it's extremely useful at many, many ramps, even more so with a fin. I would say it imperative in many places.
