I see he has had no bids yet either - you would think he'd be quick to respond wouldn't you ?!
If the exterior is anything to go by, looks like a nice clean boat... _________________ 'Highland Fling'

Those pictures were sent to me by the owner with no additional comments except, "I'm sorry to see her go." I will add that I heard these pics are out of date though this is via one interested party who is a member here. He stopped by the boat and reported that, "It will need new sails, running & standing rigging replaced, and the interior is tired." Of course, this is what many do as a given when they buy these boats as usually the owners have stopped sailing and the care has dropped. It's a great way to get a lower initial price, too. _________________ Kelly Holsten abstrait

I put in a minimum bid and later got this back:
"Cancelled: $5,500.
Explanation: The seller ended the listing early and cancelled all bids." _________________ F235 #186 Pegasus

why does ebay allow this? what stops everybody from just canceling their auctions if their price expectations are not met? _________________ Mike Hayden

It is the sellers game because ebay gets their money from the seller. I think ebay gets some of the fees even if the seller cancels the auction, so they are not out money. But there can be some valid reasons why the seller wants to cancel the auction. They may discover the information they gave on the item is wrong or incomplete which could lead to a cancellation by the winner because of item not as described. In this case I think the seller just decided he didn't like the way the auction was going.
Look in on the bidders discussion forum on ebay for some fun. |

Also, she could have been for sale locally although the ad didn't state that. _________________ 1992 Fin #424
