Yeah, this boat has been listed for awhile. Was in there while Mike's was for sale so didnt want to hurt his chances (guy added a bunch of shots after he saw Mike's SOLD sign, too....heh). Looks like a clean F235. Nice interior besides a bit of headliner droop on starboard. Monster 4 stroke 9.9 Mercury beast although it almost looks like a short shaft (hopefully not). No trailer but I'm sure someone could get one for transport from a member. All in all a nice later model F235 at a decent price.

And the cool thing about that page is it continues to provide a "press the button" link reference for those interested in seeing your ole First 235 Windependent, as many might want see what all the fuss was about. That page is a pretty good summary of that little beast without searching through threads.

yes, sure did. in fact, three offers were over asking - if i would move them to the front of the line, which i would not do.

I think the 265 is a tad Ugly. It looks like you inserted an airhose into it and BLAMO.

But what do I know...

I like the lack of the pain in the ass aluminum toe rail. Actually, it's usually pain in the back of my legs toe rail.

I agree that it is a very nice feature, on a cruising boat. On the 235 it has eliminated the need for some additional hardware for spinnaker rigging, but I would opt to loose it if i was building the boat to race it.

This is the boat I bought last week. It is now in Quebec City where it will spend the winter.

I will have a trailer built to carry her on "Grand Lac St-François", Lambton, Quebec next Spring.

Please refer to the "Pre-purchase inspection of BEY1A359D990" topic in the General Forum for a few revealing photos... I did quite a good cleaning today. I need to properly "winterize" it before the temperature drops below freezing in a few days...

Could any one tell me whether my outboard is a "short shaft" type, as seen from the picture shown in the "Pre-purchase inspection of BEY1A359D990" topic.

No, it's at least the 20 inch shaft, possibly the 25. Dont worry about it. IT was just the angle above. The motor looks fine and plenty deep for you. Did you ever find out if the boat had a name at one time and/or do you have an idea for a name yet? I made a picture for the directory.
