I guess that's another vote for the 'use the deck ring instead' solution to trying to fit a big roller furler drum inside the 3-legged pulpit. This is a boat I didn't know existed before seeing the ad, so I'm sure the owner isn't on the forum, so we may never know if any reinforcing was done under the deck in this case :-[ _________________ Neil Quigley
