Looks like I'm moving inland. A 235 does not make sense on the lake that will be 1 mile from the house. I can keep the boat on the Chesapeake an hour and a half away, or maybe it's time to say goodbye.

Anybody looking for a boat? I'm not sure what to ask. I was in the process of redoing the bottom and thru hulls, so the price could be upwardly adjustable as I finish things up.

I think I agree with Mike. In fact, I really enjoyed the time my boat was docked in Charleston, SC, which was THREE hours away. It was a fun trip to head down there and stay on the boat, exploring the waters and area. We had the car there if we wanted to do anything on land. The longest we stayed was almost 10 days on the beast, this helped with the ability to get anywhere, whether land or water. Think of your little F235 as a floating mini-abode to visit and explore from, away from your home base. At least give it a go. We looked forward to our trips down there. abstrait now sits a few hundred yards from my doorstep but I still miss the fun of the Charleston trips.

What they said. I'm currently 2 1/2 hours to my boat, and makes a nice weekend getaway. We are in the process of purchasing a house in Maine, so next year the boat will be 5 1/2 hours from home base. I may only wind up sailing a sum total of 3 weeks a year, but when I do it will be on the coast of Maine ( also some of the best sailing grounds around ).

Get a small boat ( snipe, lightening, hobecat ) for your lake. Did you sell all your windsurfing equipment?

Looks like we are keeping the boat...........for now.

We just signed a lease a the Salt Ponds Marina Resort in Hampton, VA. My wife is actually excited about sailing out of this location.

The Marina has a beach, 2 pools, instant bay access, a resturant, cabana, free pump out, etc. all for $105 per month with no annual commitment. There is only one slip left!

My wife can't wait to sail with the dolphins and sea turtles!

That "some of the best sailing in the world" comment really struck a cord. We've sailed the boat pretty much on the Potomac, but only once on the Bay when we were delivering it.

All I can say is that she is very excited about sailing the boat on the bay and almost on the ocean.

What more could you want from your wife. She sounds perfect!
Glad to hear you are keeping the F235.
