That's right down the road from me...
...and it's got a fin keel, self-tailing winches.
Even if I have to throw some cash in, it'd be way cheaper to swap boats than go with a keel upgrade on my '87 w/wing keel & minimalist-winches.
Hmm. If I did it, I wonder how long it would be before my wife noticed? (Oh, that check dear? That was just for a couple upgrades for the Beneteau.) |

I usually try ... "Oh that! It was for some safety equipment", but you might have trouble sliding a >$10K 'safety' purchase past she who must be obeyed (borrowed in spirit from Harry Potter) _________________ Neil Quigley

Hey - that is cool ... big brother apparently knows about our club too. This pic was taken in winter ... our notorious 'island' is the black smudge below the line of swing moorings - it's covered by 5-6 feet of water in summer but only by about 6-12" in winter - a very good trap for newby stinkboat owners

My regular racing club is 3 mi east on the same lake (Minnetonka) as Sailors World. when the Ben. is.
Beautiful blue(!) lake. About 15 mi west of Minneapolis proper. Almost every home on the lake is $500k+, dozens in the $5M+ category. And we get to 70-100 boats to race in their backyard 2-3 times/wk!
Ichivers - if you come for the boat, stay for a race! |
