Beneteau First 235 - Hull#58 Fin Keel Very clean, Dry-sailed last 4 years; bottom perfect with VC Performance Epoxy. Interior is bone dry with no deck leaks. 8HP 1994 Yamaha with alternator, porcelain marine head, SONY CD stereo with amplifier, spinnaker gear, light and heavy air spin/jib sheets, Harken windward sheeting traveler, two kites, 5 headsails and main. Strangely enough, that was tried in Kansas in the 1870's. The craft was your basic prairie schooner equipped with what amounts to a large sprit rig. And it worked! . . . . sorta . . . . The inventor/promoter was killed when he encountered a strong quartering wind and a deep not quartering gully at the same moment in time. |
