very sad news; I did not see this coming.
I sold this highly modified boat to a friend and neighbor for a song. assuming that I would be able to hitch some rides on my ex-boat.
I had to sell because of old age and health issues, but I still can sail.
I was still involved with the boat, and helped as much as I could.
Any new owner will be a very lucky sailor. _________________ Hull #67 ~ Barnegat Bay |

The new owner hit the jackpot. Left sailor did not know what he had. I spent hundreds of hours and thousands of $$$ to improve the boat. Many mods were shown in this forum . The boat sold quickly after I gave Lefty some of my pics, and I assume he made a tidy profit.
I understand that the boat went to the Sheepshead Bay Yacht Club in Brooklyn NY.
It was sad to see her leave suddenly on Labor Day afternoon in howling wind and brewing thunderstorms.(no check or test sail). I wonder how they got to NY since that involves some sailing in the Atlantic.
I hope the new owner will join this forum. I still have some parts for the boat _________________ Hull #67 ~ Barnegat Bay |

It's sad, indeed. You had a rare treat to have your old boat stay so close with a sale that still allowed access and contact on the water. Hopefully, you got to get out on it some more before the situation changed and she moved farther away.
I'll keep my eye out for the new owner. _________________ Kelly Holsten abstrait

Thanks Kelly for the kind words. Sadly I was not invited for a ride on my ex-boat last year despite helping with commissioning, decommissioning
and repair, as well as having the boat hibernating on my lot. This year Lefty lost all interest. I did the final rigging, and had hoped for a last sail, but that was not to be.
Well... at least I got to sail on a friends Seaperl 28 cat ketch.(very interesting carbon fiber free standing and rotating masts designed by Eric Sponberg). _________________ Hull #67 ~ Barnegat Bay |

Herb, no one, including me sailed her till sold. Main sail went on date of sail. I too have major health issues, much worse than yours. I had told you I wanted to sell last May, but you don’t seem to remember that. _________________ Hull 67 |
