I've decided to take Pegasus off the market for now. I will reassess at the end of spring / beginning of summer and may put her back up for sale then. In the mean time, I'll be out enjoying the boat some more. -Jeff – 2/25/2013
Here’s your chance to own Pegasus, the F235 with a custom lead keel designed by Leif Bailey. Extra draft and a lower COG help create a stiffer boat. She also points higher according to the original owner, who commissioned the custom keel. You can read more about the keel and see pictures here:

Jeff,
Why the sale? Plans to move up to a larger boat or some other reason?
Cheers,

I've owned Pegasus now for 16 years, (I can't believe it's been that long!) My daughter is 15 now and isn't as interested in the boat as she used to be. And my wife, though supportive of my sailing addiction, was never much into sailing. So, sadly, it's time to part. I hopefully will get another boat someday. If I had an extra $100,000 laying around the house, I'd go for the Finot designed Pogo 30 being built now in France. But until then, I'll have to be content with my 12' catboat I keep in the garage, (a Kite). _________________ Jeff Burne - Pegasus

Jeff,
I was several times in your shoes. Selling by boat thinking i would not come back.
The longest I resisted was a year and a half.
Your 235 just look wonderfull. You should not have any issue finding a luck successor.
Wish you good luck
I am looking for a wing keel verison to sail in the shallow water of St Louis Lake by Montreal after winter. |

Thanks for the kind words. Heh. I'll see how long I last. This sailing addiction is a pretty strong thing. Best of luck with your search. _________________ Jeff Burne - Pegasus

Jeff,
Don't sell too soon, let the decision sit awhile to see if it is right. I've sold three boats, always had second thoughts after it was too late and ended up spending a bunch of money on the next one bringing it up to speed - current boat is a case in point. At this point I think I have learned the lesson, Esther is for keeps (remind me I said this in a few years!).
Cheers,

Hey Dave, You're right. I know I'll have regrets. I can't believe how lucky I was to stumble across this boat. It turned out to be so much better than I could've imagined. The other thing about the decision to sell is it so often comes about when you've optimized the boat better than it's ever been. Well, except for that Very Saddest Little Boat. _________________ Jeff Burne - Pegasus

Jeff,
Great! My bet is you will be glad you decided to keep her. On a different but related note, I may be out to CA in the LA area this month. I'll let you know if plans take shape. Would enjoy linking up with you.
Cheers,

I'm glad to still have Pegasus in the family.
Definitely keep me posted on your travel plans. If time permits, let's go sailing!
Thanks,
