Everything is twice the price in the "old country" since the Boston Tea Party. _________________ First 285 '91 ~ Hull 396 ~ Border Terrier

Wow - $5,500 for what looks like a really tidy boat.
It would cost you three times that here in the UK! _________________ Amberjack - EU hull #181

Looks like a fair deal, pity it's a wing keel! _________________ Owner of First 235 "Magic Frog" Currently in Portsmouth NH (For Sale) |

You know, the Wing keel gets a bum rap but I believe it can hold its own in a lot of conditions, perhaps even bettering the fin in certain instances. _________________ Kelly Holsten abstrait

That's my experience, Kelly. Trim is the big issue w/ the wing. Crew forward/bow down on a beat, to neutral off the wind (which can be a challenge in a blow or a sea). The wings add a fun dimension to balancing a sailboat. Weight aft/bow up = slow go. Varying trim surfing rollers is way fun w/ the wing. _________________ "Ballerina," 1992, hull #429, wing keel, FL Keys |
