Boat is in very good condition, well groomed and comes with some new equipment. It is the fixed keel version. One of the latest ones built in Europe. Factured in 1994. The sails are in good condition too, main sail in laminate, one season old. The keel and the underwater area are new painted this winter. It is ready for sail at once. The boat is situated in the Netherlands on the Ijsselmeer for the summer. In winter it was always situated in a hall.
I have an Etap 24i too. Two ships are one too much. So the ship, which can be sold at first will leave us. I would sell the First with a teardrop in my eyes because we have had so much fun with the boat in the last five years.

Sorry to see you sell, Thomas. Know you got a lot of fun in those five years, though.
This is a very interesting F235 for sure as it's one of the few that is really customized for cold water/inclement weather sailing. It has the most elaborate dodger setup I've seen. The photos visible below are hull 375 in earlier days, before renaming, just to show this setup.

Correct me if I am wrong but the rear part of the dodger has to come down to sail right? I love the setup, looks just like mine does with the bimini up only with sides.

Yes you are right. If you want to sail with the main sail used you have to remove the dodger because there is no chance to get the main sheet conneted to the traveller. In rainy but calm weather it is possible to let the dodger mounted while sailing just under jib or genoa.

Just the REAR part, correct? Technically, the main part of the dodger, and what most think when one refers to a dodger, can be left up with mainsheet/blocks attached thus allowing for some protection.

Yes. Just the rear part has to be removed. The spayhood can be still used while sailing. It is a helpfull part to keep you dry and warm in rough conditions.

Yeah, what you call the "sprayhood,' we call the Dodger. That back section is more a bimini enclosure. While a dodger on the First 235 is a rare thing, some might think more fitting on a larger boat, there are areas in the World where you would not get out half as much without one. Still, it's a really rare siting on the First 235. The photo linked below, one of the first I put on this site, is the earliest use of a dodger that I have on record.

Let us try it with 16999,-€. Maybe thats more interesting for future First owners.
On the other hand, I would not be unhappy if I would sell the Etap and sail the First.

So for the coming season it will be still a pleasure for me to sail my First.
A new laminate jib is already ordered...

THOMAS, Good you stay with us here. Btw.. My Dad is sailing the ijsselmeer on a Jeanneau. I had endless summers over there. If you ever come close to Tampa Bay, stop by for a daysail on a first 235 with another German skipper.
Also a proud Dortmunder .... :-)
