Want to buy F235 wing keel, preferably late 1980s or early 1990s on east coast. Very good condition and road worthy trailer required. Please send photos and info on condition of hull, deck, sails, rigging, interior and electronics by PM or email. I am between boats, ready to get back on the water and seriously interested. Thanks. |

Thanks, Bob, but Migration is a Fin and no trailer available. Thanks for watching out for an F235 for sale - much appreciated.

Wing for fin swap? I've got a 1987 wing in Wisconsin. I'd love a fin. Anyone want to buy a fin boat and swap?

I looked at the Migration ad in Eastern Shore MD Craigslist. It leads to a webpage with more details.
Yes, Mike, it says it is at Pasadena MD.
Interestingly, it claims to have swapped for a J24 keel - "1100# of lead, 4' 5" depth"
You'll need to bring your own trailer.
Guy, I think you could find a J24 keel closer to Milwaukee. _________________ Jeannette

Is there any reason to think this will infact better your boat? _________________ '88 - Wing - Hull #140 |

I'm not interested in a J24 keel. A cast iron fin, on the other hand:
Per this web site a fin keel will help me point higher. We've still got plenty of water in Lake Michigan. . .
Should be a bolt on replacement:
remove bolts
lift my boat off trailer/keel
slip new keel on trailer
bolt up
raise bunks

Guy, I wish that fin were like a magic wand, but alas, it is not.
Just ask the winged 235 who more often than not beat me in beer can races.
Or, put another way, the advantage of the fin can be quickly canceled out by a myriad of sailing faux pas. _________________ Jeannette

Thanks. I'll keep my excuse as well. Given my sailing I need all I can get. _________________ Guy

I think some PHRF areas give the wing a small allowance compared to the fin keel - get all the help you can ;-) _________________ Neil Quigley
