That is a nice looking boat in the photo, a tiller model though.

When we were looking at 285's I thought I wanted the wheel, but we ended up with a tiller model and there are a lot of advantages--the biggest one being that you get about twice the cockpit space. Just stand the tiller up behind the lifeline and stretch out. _________________ David Ericksen

I like the tiller. There is something fun about playing Captain Ahab with a wheel, but the 285 is not such a big boat that you can't enjoy the feel that only comes with a tiller.
When I get my Hallberg Rassy 50 to go around the world, I'll have a wheel. I can wait until then. . . _________________ David Ericksen
