It does look in great condition but did you see the heater exhaust ? That must be a nightmare for catching the genoa sheets ?!!! _________________ 'Highland Fling'

I wonder how long you could run the heater with the standard propane bottle? I'm guessing you have 10-15 hours running the stove and/or oven, so a full bottle would probably keep you snug for a weekend at least.
I don't see a price. _________________ David Ericksen

i don't know about that cute little furnace he has, but i have a 4000 btu catalytic heater that runs off a small propane bottle (i buy the typical 2-paks you get at walmart as i don't have it connected to house propane) and it runs about 8-10 hours per 16 oz bottle as i remember.
the 285 has a 5 lb propane tank, so that's a lot of warmth. fwiw the stove and oven don't use much gas either. we use ours quite a bit, and after last season when i took it to the refilling station it took such a little bit the guy didn't even charge me.
making coffee on the stove heats the cabin up nicely on a chilly morning, too. _________________ Mike Hayden

Our dollar dropped over 2 cents today, wait a week & the boat may be half price in U.S. dollars if commodities keep dropping. We were near par in May but were recentlly as low as $1.30 (to buy 1 US $), which puts the boat slightly over $30K US. Amazing what is going on in the financial markets. |
