Seems steep to me but with how these boats are selling it could be possible.

If the exterior is as tight as the interior, I would advertise over the 20k, and settle for that on the sale.

Some of the pics had date stamps that are almost 3 years ago (perhaps when the boat was bought from the previous owner?). It would be nice to see some March 08 pics too. One might wonder if the pics above are a good representation of her current condition [ ... note to (unscrupulous) self ... turn off date stamp on all future pics of my boat. ]

The FIRST pics ARE from the days of old as I once posted these interior shots in the forum way back when, this as an example of wood "bead board" panels in the interior. I had written Dennis in hopes of getting the details on the install relating to attachment etc. The SECOND interior set appears to be recent (ie ones without stamp w/slightly better quality). Great shots, though and I love the bead board panel application though I might have done the galley with the same horz layout, though it's pretty obvious the PO was using up his leftover cut. Still, very nicely done.

Dennis, perhaps you can get some exact measurements of the panels so others can precut to install although it's always wise to measure your own space.

Forget trying to measure for those things. Get yourself a hot glue gun and a bunch of 1" doorskin strips and make templates of them for a perfect fit.

I wish I could claim that I installed the beautiful bead board, but the previous owner did this work sometime after '01, and before I bought in '05. I can do some measurements and post them as a guide, but I would still follow the suggestion to measure and make templates yourself for perfect fit. I agree about the horiz layout comment for the galley, but truth be told, I never really noticed that much. I guess I spent most of the time at the helm, while my family and friends had more time to admire (and critique) the interior! Anyway, I can also try to contact the previous owner to see if he has saved any "instruction manual" for his work.

One interesting thing about the beadboard. The horizontal lines visually stretch the space. I do like the look of the vertical lines in the galley, but I think you guys are right. Consistency would be the key.

All told, I think it's pretty gorgeous.

To be precise, it is déjà vu . Since this a forum for a french boat, we probably better show our respect and get the french right!

I just redid my kitchen ceiling with this. It is available in the US in any big box hardware-type store (Lowes, Home Depot, etc). It is in the sheetgoods section near wainscotting (if they have it). I believe that the product was actually called Beadboard-Plywood.

When purchasing it, be careful that you don't get a section with a plug.

See: http://hollingsworthlumber.com/search?search=Beadboard+Plywood

The "wayne's coating" is very very inexpensive. I would come up with your own method of doing it using strips of wood instead of a plywood.

The bead board plywood is the super economical way to go in my view, this after making sure you have a good attachment method that will allow you to do repairs to the glass. From the looks of it, that's the solution that was employed to great effect. While it still leaves the troublesome overhead vinyl around, the combination of the two done effectively is very nice. Not sure it merits a 6-7,000 increase in the price of the boat, as suggested here, but it sure does add to the interior aesthetics, and without huge cost.

I removed the head liner from my boat the end of last year and I'm going to attempt this type of wood/vinyl repair this month. I'm thinking of using either Okoume plywood or Cedar strips from a local boat building shop (http://www.clcboats.com/epoxy_plywood.php#plywood).

Does anyone know if the wood interior of a stock model 235 is teak or some other species? I want to try and match the stain/varnish too, if anyone knows what is used?

Tried to contact this fellow several time to find out the price after initial contact was made.....still no response.

Update This owner contacted me on my post above asking me to check my email records, after doing so, the fellow had indeed contacted me with this information so the error on this was mine, my appologies.
