Sadly it is time to see her off. I have started a business and it is time to let the Beneteau go. She is the nicest boat i have owned and now that everything i had planned is complete it is really hard to let go of.

There is some description here.
http://www.sailboatlistings.com/view/18184
If you have any other questions about her just feel free to ask on here or call me.

$13,000

She comes with electric trolling motor and trailer as well.

The boat really looks great Garret! Doesn't look like the same boat I saw back in 2007.

What bottom paint do you have on it? Looks awesome, someone is getting a nice looking boat.

(Nevermind, I see the bottom paint is in your listing. Thanks.)

It is beautiful. Why did you re-paint to darker color?
I thought the silver was fabulous too.

I was never really intending to sell the boat. So i just painted it and made it look exactly how i wanted it. I didn't like the white bottom paint, for some reason on this boat it turned yellow after a month in the water. I also decided i wanted to try to sand her down and paint her again because i enjoy the pain and misery.

thanks for the answer. when you see the same question in the other thread , it's because I was over there before I read your answer.

Have you sold the 22' boat you rescued this year?

I have sold 6 boats already this spring. I opened a shop and got all the licenses and am really going for it now. My shop is called Second Wind Sailing and it is on Little Traverse Bay in Northern Michigan. I employ two people and we area all having the time of our lives and getting a great response from the community. I am hoping to get a website going soon and can fill everyone in with details.

If doing a colored hull, it's really important to show some relief at the boot stripe and waterline, thereby giving the hull a look of less freeboard. I've seen some try the colored hull approach without awareness of this and it ends up making the boat look more ungainly and tall. A white/red duo can be difference in making a blue hull 235 look 10 feet tall or as sleek as a Mini-transat (even though quite the freeboard difference).

The camo before and after photos. Two of the more captivating photos of ye olde First 235, for better or worse....heh, indeed.

I feel the same way about 235s that have been de-striped. The lack of horizontal runs make the boat look too tall, almost awkward.
