I am going to have to put Hull #50 on the market in "as is condition". I have not had a place to work on it since last summer due to unfortunate circumstances. I am going to be putting up an ad on Craig's list and Sailing Texas tonight or tomorrow. She has a Johnson 9.9 with electrical. I have modified the rudder so it is solid and have the delrin bushings. No blistering and the keel is in great shape. The boat did not have any hurricane damage. She does need fresh bottom paint though. I am asking $6000. I will post the ads tomorrow. Boat is in League City, TX

Thanks,
Dan

Man, Dan. Really sorry seeing you having to sell. You were one of the original crew on here and had some good contributions. I'll never forget that you were the first to tackle the complete removal of your wing! Great shots of that, too. Hope all is well your way. Stay in touch.

Dan was one of the first and only to actually overhaul his wing, totally removing the wing portion to inspect the bolts,
redoing the works with an excellent fairing job, one of the FIRST to partake in this amount of care with the bottom, making
it BETTER than it was when it left the factory.

Holy cats. I never know that came off!

I've passed on the listing to a couple of friends that I want out of a Capri 22 and into a 235. One more on our little lake and we get our own 'one design' start on Wednesday night....

I think I'm one of the few idiots that have read all 50,000 posts in this damn thing. I think I threw up this graphic/post within the first 100 or so posts made in this dump. Dan's a good guy.

Hi Kelly,

I hate to sell but I was in the middle of the interior restoration and lost my place to work. We survived Hurricane Ike (eye passed directly over the house) with only shingle damage to the roof and more than half of our fencing down. The boat didn't have any damage at all from the storm. It was on a trailer next to the house. Unfortunately our house was very badly damaged when the roofers were replacing the roof last summer. I had to move the boat to a storage area so we could park a travel trailer next to the house. We have been living in the trailer since last August. It doesn't look like we will be able to start repairs on the house anytime soon.

Glad you still have pictures of the keel. That was quite a job.

I have been getting a ton of e-mail from the ads but nobody has made it here yet to take a look. I also need to try to get a few more pictures tonight. I have been working about 50 hours a week at my main job and several hours every other weekend at a second job so I have very little free time these days.

I have had tons of e-mail. It has worn me down already. I went to take pictures and couldn't help but think that it wouldn't take me that long to get the carpet and fixtures back in and ready to sail once I find another place to work on it.
