Not sure how this got started, but what the ...
You're correct Kelly, Guilt with a capital G.
It's kind of like selling that old gray mule you damn near grew up with.
So here goes.

With the arrival of the new boat, the pressure to sell the Little RUM is growing. If anyone knows of an interested party please let them know that I have reluctantly decided to lower the asking price to $8900.
Thought I would share this with the people I know appreciate the 235 before I put it on the net.

With only one month left on the temporary slip rental, It's time to get serious.
The Little RUM's price is readjusted to $8,000, OBO

Gerard,
After selling 4 boats last month i figure i could add in to this. Where have you listed your boat for sale? I know of a few good free sites i use and don't see you having much trouble. With the condition of your boat and your asking price i can not see why this boat has not sold. (Plus-its a fin, Minus-no trailer). Send me a PM if you would like me to post the information around. Just thought I'd help out a fellow sailor. Free of charge of course; i don't want others on here thinking I'm trying to hustle anyone. _________________ '88 - Wing - Hull #140 |

Garrett is right, Gerrard. I just sold a hunter dingy for $4200 (full asking price) in a month - I just got several free postings spread around, and found the right buyer over in Nashville.
I bought my fin (apparently) for $8300 with no trailer, and it was in nowhere near the condition yours is in. It was very dirty, chalky, fallen headliner, and a slightly funky aroma. With all that, the original asking price was $9000. Don't sell your boat short, but an offer to negotiate a delivery might help as well. I'm sure you could borrow a suitable trailer from someone, and that would attract more first time boat buyers who would have no idea how to move a boat. Just my thoughts, hope it helps! -brad _________________ Brad Baker
