|

Hi.
I wish to buy an F235 and had found the ad below. I am of the (mis)understanding that production had stopped in the early 90's but this ad has it down as a '99. Would this be correct or is it a typo?
Thanks,
Rob

It's a simple typo. This boat is already listed here as well.
See the ad, the typo, and the PHOTO of Guy's '89 F235 below. His boat is actually the next in line after mine... BOAT NOW SOLD

EDIT: I wrote the following while Kelly was responding ... I'll leave it here anyway ...
It's just a typo. The link you gave indicates the boat's owner is Guy Sandusky ... Have a look at hull # 328 on the F235 Directory:
http://www.beneteau235.com/f235_database.htm
Here's an F235 build history (to the extent we've been able to discern):
http://www.beneteau235.com/f235_database_info.htm
... You'll see that US manufacture seems to have stopped in 1992, and that it went on for one more year in France.
If it is in fact a '1989' boat (the typo indicating it's a 1999 ??), at hull #328, it's likely to have been built in very late 1989, to 1990 specs.
You could ask the owner, or his rep, for the full 12-character hull ID number, then interpret it yourself based on the info in the second link above.
Let us know what you find out - it's probably a great boat. The Triad trailer is certainly a valuable 'extra'. Is the boat back states-side, or still in Mexico? _________________ Neil Quigley

Thanks. That makes more sense.
Still a newbie and have not had a chance to read all of the back posts. |

I just looked at my detailed database - that hull number will likely have been built in January of 1989, to 1989 specs. My hull is # 252, and was built in July of 1988, to 1989 specs. _________________ Neil Quigley
