1999? You must mean 89!

It's an '89. Pye is a '92, Hull # 430. I'll let you know when Pye sells - inquiries coming in and hopefully the warming weather will get folks serious. Don't mind sharing the info and someone (Kelly?) might keep tabs on list/sales price and time on the market -- could be useful to others on the forum either buying or selling.
Spring's the time to trade -- I close on my Catalina 30 tomorrow.

Obviously, the '99 was a typo as '89 is in the title of the thread. My F235 is #327 and Guy's is the very next in line at 328.

Prices have always fluctuated with CAN and EU boats going much higher. Still, the US boats in good condition have seen prices remain strong. $18 for a US boat is on the high side, but the west coast boats are more expensive than those on the East. I helped a guy sell a totally refitted F235 with trailer for $14k a few years ago. Mike's excellent Windependent sold for 12K without a trailer a while back. Really depends on the boat's condition, location, and time of year. There are still bargains around but they are few and far between. Many times, the bargains are only a bargain if you do your own work as most need attention, and to pay labor and parts would be an eye opener.

Even at higher prices, the First 235 is a tremendous bargain for what you get, this if you want to stay in this size range. I've said it many times... the First 235 is probably about the best compromise of performance and interior features in this size range, bar none.

FYI.
paid 7800 for #421 1992 with good 2002 Trailer and 2004 Yamaha 9.9. (porta potty) But otherwise only basic equip and the headliner came down and in need of a bottom job . The boat is in solid shape and great wood + polstery otherwise.

More than a 'good deal' - a steal at way below insurable value and other recent sales! Count your blessings, and enjoy the boat!!

Got mine for 5,500 without trailer. No motor, Headliner redone by a 5 year old, and the shittiest paint job i have ever seen. Exactly what i was looking for in a boat!
