The 4th-to-last character in F235 hull ID numbers is often misread as a numeral instead of an alpha character: this character in the ID number defines the month of manufacture (A=Jan, B=Feb ... L=Dec), so the above ID# is most likely: BEY1A285I889. (My boat's ownership papers came with the number '0' in this position instead of the 'G' that was evident only on close inspection of the ID number etched into the boat's gel coat.)

I've emailed the owner to see if the boat has a name and to see if it's one of the Liberty Series (I'm pretty sure it's Liberty #8). It's not currently on the Directory, but will be soon. _________________ Neil Quigley
